Student Declaration of Accuracy

Version 1.0
Effective 1 September 2025
Students document

Before submitting any application, you must declare that all information and documents you have provided are genuine, accurate, and complete. Providing false information may have serious legal and academic consequences.

1. Nature and Importance of This Declaration

This Student Declaration of Accuracy ("Declaration") is a legally significant statement made by you to LOPEX UNICONS LTD (trading as UNICONS) and, by extension, to the Partner Institutions to which your applications are submitted.

By signing or electronically accepting this Declaration, you make a formal representation that all information and documentation you have provided — whether during registration, in the course of your application, or at any subsequent stage — is genuine, accurate, complete, and not misleading.

This Declaration is required before UNICONS will submit any application on your behalf. The accuracy and authenticity of the information you provide is fundamental to the integrity of the university admissions process and to UNICONS' ability to represent you in good faith to Partner Institutions.

You should read this Declaration carefully. If you are uncertain about any aspect of the information you have provided, you must clarify this with your UNICONS counsellor before signing this Declaration or submitting your application.

2. Declaration of Document Authenticity

You declare and confirm that every document you have submitted to UNICONS, or authorised UNICONS to submit to a Partner Institution on your behalf, is:

2.1 Genuine and Legitimately Obtained

All documents, certificates, transcripts, test results, and supporting materials are authentic originals or true copies of authentic originals. No document has been fabricated, forged, counterfeited, or altered in any way. All documents have been issued by the institutions, authorities, or bodies that purport to have issued them.

2.2 Specific Document Categories

This declaration applies without limitation to:

  • Academic transcripts and certificates: All transcripts, mark sheets, degree certificates, diplomas, and other academic qualifications are genuine records issued by the awarding institution. The grades, awards, and dates shown are accurate.
  • English language test results: All English language proficiency results (including IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic, Duolingo English Test, or Cambridge Assessment English certificates) are authentic results from tests you personally sat and completed without any form of assistance, impersonation, or malpractice. The scores accurately reflect your own performance.
  • Identity documents: Your passport, national identity document, and any other identity documents provided are genuine documents issued to you by the relevant governmental authority and have not been altered, tampered with, or misrepresented.
  • Financial documents: Bank statements, sponsorship letters, scholarship confirmations, and other financial evidence are genuine records that accurately reflect the financial position or commitment they describe.
  • References and personal statements: Personal statements are written substantially by you and reflect your own experiences, achievements, and aspirations. Reference letters are genuine communications written by the individuals identified as referees and have not been fabricated or altered.
  • Work experience and professional qualifications: Any claims regarding work experience, employment history, professional qualifications, or memberships are accurate and can be substantiated by reference to verifiable records.

3. Accuracy of Personal Information

You declare and confirm that all personal information you have provided to UNICONS is accurate and complete, including:

  • Your full legal name as it appears on your passport or official identity document
  • Your date of birth, nationality, and country of birth
  • Your contact details including your current postal address, email address, and telephone number
  • Your educational history, including the names of all institutions attended, dates of attendance, qualifications obtained, and grades achieved
  • Your immigration status and, where applicable, your current right to study in the UK or the country to which you are applying
  • Any previous academic conduct issues, including examination irregularities, academic misconduct, plagiarism findings, or disciplinary proceedings at any educational institution

You further declare that you have not deliberately omitted or concealed any information that may be relevant to an admissions decision.

4. Disclosure of Previous Visa Refusals and Immigration History

You declare that you have disclosed to UNICONS, truthfully and in full, the following information where applicable:

4.1 Visa Refusals

All previous refusals of a visa, entry clearance, or leave to remain in any country, including but not limited to the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the European Union, and any other country to which you have applied for a visa. The obligation to disclose applies regardless of:

  • The country of application
  • The type of visa (tourist, student, work, transit, or any other)
  • When the refusal occurred
  • Whether you believe the refusal was unjust or subsequently overturned

4.2 Previous Deportation or Removal

Any instance of deportation, removal, or being refused entry at a border crossing in any country.

4.3 Criminal Convictions

Any criminal convictions, cautions, or pending criminal proceedings in any jurisdiction, including convictions that are spent under UK law, where the relevant institution or country of application requires such disclosure. You acknowledge that certain programmes and institutions require full disclosure regardless of spent conviction status.

4.4 Previous Application Outcomes

Details of previous unsuccessful applications to any of the Partner Institutions named in your current application, including any previous offers that were withdrawn or declined.

5. Consequences of Providing False Information

You acknowledge that providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information — whether through deliberate misrepresentation, material omission, or the submission of inauthentic documents — may result in serious consequences, including but not limited to the following:

5.1 Application Rejection

UNICONS reserves the right to decline to submit, or to withdraw any application already submitted, upon discovery that any information or document is inauthentic, fraudulent, or materially inaccurate. No refund or compensation will be due in such circumstances.

5.2 Withdrawal of Conditional or Unconditional Offers

Where a Partner Institution makes an offer of admission in reliance on information that is subsequently found to be false or misleading, that institution reserves the right to withdraw the offer at any stage, including after acceptance or commencement of studies.

5.3 Cancellation of Enrolment

Enrolment at a Partner Institution may be cancelled and your studies terminated if academic fraud or misrepresentation is discovered after enrolment has taken place. This may result in the loss of tuition fees paid and may affect your immigration status.

5.4 Notification to Relevant Authorities

UNICONS and/or Partner Institutions may be legally or contractually obliged to notify:

  • UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI): Where fraudulent documents have been used in connection with a UK Student Visa or Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)
  • Other immigration authorities: In the country of the institution to which the application was made
  • UK Home Office: Where there is reason to believe that false documents have been used in connection with immigration processes
  • The relevant examining, awarding, or testing body: Where there is reason to believe test results or academic qualifications have been fraudulently obtained (e.g. notification to the British Council/IDP in respect of IELTS, or to ETS in respect of TOEFL)
  • Law enforcement authorities: Where criminal conduct is suspected

5.5 Criminal Liability

The submission of forged or fraudulent documents in connection with an application for admission or a UK student visa may constitute a criminal offence under one or more of the following legislation:

  • Fraud Act 2006 (England and Wales): Making a false representation with intent to gain may constitute fraud, carrying a maximum sentence of 10 years' imprisonment
  • Forgery and Counterfeiting Act 1981: Forgery, copying, or use of forged documents carries significant criminal penalties
  • Identity Documents Act 2010: Possession or use of false identity documents is a criminal offence
  • Immigration Act 1971 and Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002: Providing false information in connection with an immigration application is a serious criminal offence

UNICONS strongly advises you that the use of fraudulent documents is not only morally wrong but carries severe legal consequences that may affect your ability to study, work, and reside in the UK and other countries for many years.

5.6 Reputational and Professional Consequences

A finding of academic fraud may be reported to professional bodies, future employers, and other educational institutions, and may result in permanent damage to your academic and professional reputation.

6. Obligation to Update Information

Your obligations under this Declaration are continuing. You must notify UNICONS promptly and without delay if, after signing this Declaration, any of the following occurs:

  • Any information previously provided becomes inaccurate, outdated, or misleading
  • You receive a new visa refusal or your immigration status changes
  • You become aware of any academic misconduct proceedings or criminal investigation relevant to your application
  • You receive new academic results (whether better or worse than those stated in your application)
  • You receive, accept, or decline an offer from any institution not managed through UNICONS
  • Any change of circumstances occurs that may be material to your application or to the information provided to any Partner Institution

Failure to update UNICONS with material changes may be treated as a breach of this Declaration.

7. UNICONS' Right to Verify

UNICONS reserves the right to take reasonable steps to verify the accuracy and authenticity of information and documents you provide. This may include:

  • Requesting certified copies or original documents
  • Contacting issuing institutions, awarding bodies, or examination authorities directly to verify qualifications, transcripts, or test scores
  • Using document verification services or third-party authentication providers
  • Requesting additional information or clarification where documents or information appear inconsistent or incomplete

You agree to cooperate fully with any verification request made by UNICONS within a reasonable timeframe. Failure to cooperate, or the discovery of any inconsistency during verification, may result in suspension of your application and referral for further investigation.

8. Acknowledgement

By accepting this Declaration, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood this Declaration in full
  • All information and documentation provided by you to UNICONS is genuine, accurate, and complete
  • You are aware of the consequences of providing false information as set out in Section 5
  • You will notify UNICONS of any changes to the information provided in accordance with Section 6
  • You are making this Declaration freely and voluntarily, without coercion, and with full understanding of its legal significance

If you are uncertain about any aspect of your application or the accuracy of any document, you should raise this with your UNICONS counsellor before signing this Declaration. Do not sign this Declaration if any information or document in your application is not genuine, accurate, and complete.
